Todd Wright
In 1996, after graduating from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration (Troy, MI) with high distinction, Todd began his career at a large regional accounting firm. In 2000, he chose to accept a position with a publicly-traded real estate investment trust. While in that position, he returned to Walsh College, taking classes at night to earn his Master of Science in Taxation and was the 2004 recipient of the Stanley W. Smith Tax Manuscript Award, given to one student annually for having written an outstanding paper in the field of taxation.
Along the way, he developed a passion for the great outdoors and a love for the Smoky Mountains. And so, after a great deal of reflection, in 2005 he decided to move to Knoxville, in order to more frequently visit the park and surrounding areas. It was here that he met his wife, Eva. And in 2017, he was finally able to open his own practice.
Todd works closely with select clients to assist them with accounting and tax planning for business transactions. He is a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. And he recently achieved a goal of joining the board of directors of Humane Society, Tennessee Valley.
Jessica Farmer
Originally from a small town in North Carolina, Jessica moved to Tennessee in 2011 where she met her husband, Chad. Together they have a daughter who keeps them very busy. After some time as a stay-at-home mom, she decided to enroll in courses at Pellissippi State and earned her Associates degree in accounting in 2021, graduating with honors. Soon after, she started her position here.
As the firm’s Bookkeeper, Jessica works closely with clients to ensure correct transaction recording and reconciliation. She is currently studying for the AIPB Certified Bookkeeper exam. She also prepares a number of income tax returns for the firm during busy season.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching documentaries, and going shopping with her daughter.
Jade Otterstein
Jade graduated with honors from Utah State University in 2015, having completed degrees in Accounting and Operations Management. After graduation, she returned to her hometown in Southeast Idaho where she began work as an accountant for the largest financial institution in Idaho. Jade worked there for seven years until, after the birth of her third child, she and her husband moved to East Tennessee. Jade took the cross country move as an opportunity to take a hiatus from full-time accounting work and instead provided accounting services for a non-profit organization while focusing on her family. Jade and her husband welcomed their fourth and final child in 2023 and it wasn’t long after that Jade decided she was ready to step a little more fully back into the world of accounting.
Her time in the office is primarily focused on supporting our small business clients by preparing corporate, partnership, and personal income tax returns. She will also be involved with our software transition projects and adaptation of AI tools.
Outside of work, Jade enjoys reading, music, baking, and exploring Southeast Tennessee and the surrounding areas with her family.
